Coke - simple terms

Coke 

        Coke is considered as a pure form of Carbon.  It is Greyish-black in colour.  It is a solid residue, which was obtained by the destructive distillation of coal.  This coke is also used in manufacturing of steel, this is considered as a one of the primary use of coke.

Coke is also used as a fuel, to make electrodes and Extraction of Iron ore.
