IONS

           An ion is a atom or group of atom (molecule) with net electric charge.  There are different types of charges like positive ion and negative ion.  Positive charges can be present in protons, Negative charges can be present in electrons.

This cation includes this type of ions which has positive ions in it, where the number of protons is more than the number of electrons. 

                                                                 

The above anions is the situation when the total number of electrons is more than the total number of protons.
